Rumours Band
A new wave of young talent is emerging from M.I.C.C as sixth-year band Rumours quickly build a name for themselves on the local music scene.
The five-piece group blends tight musicianship with confident stage presence. Lauren Hayes Flynn fronts the band as lead vocalist, bringing strong range and control to every performance. On bass, Katelyn O’Connell lays down the groove, locking in with Finn Cleary on drums to create a solid rhythmic foundation. Guitar duties are shared by Calum Murray and Sienna Petit O’Leary, whose dual guitar dynamic adds depth, texture and energy to the band’s sound.
Despite still being in school, Rumours have already gained valuable live experience. They’ve performed at private functions and delivered a standout set at a fundraiser in Kinsale last September, earning positive feedback for their professionalism and crowd engagement. Their ability to read a room and keep energy levels high marks them out as more than just a typical school band.
Next up, Rumours take to the stage at The Shamrock Bar in Dunmanway on March 14th from 8–10pm, setting the tone for the night before DJ RHIGGINZ takes over until late. It’s another important step for a band that’s clearly on an upward trajectory — and a chance for the local community to see one of M.I.C.C’s most exciting emerging acts in action
